personlly I take breaks from farming; and do PvP on... UT2K4 WHOO 32 BOTS VS YOU.
You always need a break from some things, 1 game cant be perfect for everything... play 2, or more; why do you think people rent more than 1 game at rental stores for there xbox or ps2 of w/e they own?

Guildwars lost my interest in PVE long ago. And now I cant stand playing arenas and meeting cheesy builds that ANET refuses to fix. So Im just done with it. I played alot got my moneys worth wont be buying an expansion until ANET learns to balance the current PVP system and pay more attention to Random arenas.
I got alot of other games I want to play. This game was good but Im done with it for right now.

haha i really love the OP's lack of english skills, its kinda cool. specially when he says Wahoo yeah thats cool! anyways..i also think that end game is boring. but to fix this, play the game in moderation. do a hobby, then play some, and it will be really fun.

For me..GW has two major flaws..
In PVE you waste more time trying to form or find a group than you do playing.
And the other is in PVP..which is lacking. Where are the epic battles? Where are the castle sieges and other great PVP battle options?
The PVP is flat..and the PVE...well, they must have known teaming up with people would be next to impossible to do in any reasonable time so they added bots...which I despise.

I think most games get this way after a bit. Heck I came here because I was so bored of WoW. I just started playing GW this weekend and I am loving it. Asheron's Call was the only MMOG that kept my attention for years.

Which is especially astonishing considering how _bad_ Counterstrike is compared to other squad-based shooters.

boring!!! beated everything in the game......yes, UW, FOW, and the new UW in the tomb..Diablo 2 kept me playing for so much longer than this game.
This game is a pretty BIG game, but with the worst weapons, items, and armors as far as skins, stats, and variety...... If you cannot afford to buy a weapon from other players, u are bound to get stuck with that weapon for a very very very long time until u find a better one.
This game and 'choices' simply just do not fit in one sentence...

If the only way to keep players in the game is to release new chapters, it's a sad game... And I'm certain the new chapter will get boring pretty fast..
I'm currently playing Sacred Gold and trying out WOW...

Yeah because you know WoW never keeps you interested by making you grind for a measly 1 level advance and they will never release an expansion that you have to pay for...
aka your comments don't make any sense.

Depends. The amount of friends you have in game, do you do Pvp, pve or just "one". How many jobs you play, etc.
I found it very fun, then got bored, took a break, and now playing pve again as a different job and having a blast. I would just take a break and wait till Chapter 2 or if you only do PvP or Pve do the opposite one.

You have this backwards. The designers of GW were at blizzard when Bliz decided to build WOW. All the design similarities you see, were developed by the GW team when they were at Blizz.....WOW tried to follow along that design path....and of course dumbed it down even more. The core devs of WOW bolted and developed GW....and WOW picked up the pieces.
I know as I have been to Bliz many times with my buddy who I grew up with.....and who is head of a dept there for WOW. It was funny when I was Alpha Testing WOW....he said "Ahh those guys went off to make some other game."......I hadn't even heard of GW at that point....not many had.
WOW should be thanking ANET......not ANET thanking WOW.

First of all, I'll apologize for not actually reading through the thread before answering. The following sentence caught my eye and I just had to respond, :

The truth is far more complex - these 4 places can each potentially be filled by one of 30 class combinations. That's 810000 possible four man teams. And that's not even mentioning skill selection... .
If I get bored some day I might actually work out how many different builds are possible in Guild Wars. When people only ever want narrow choices, they don't get to appreciate the true complexity the game has.

And although many times incremental.....you can have all those attribute points distributed a host of ways....

maybe I find it boring because I'm a online gamer of FPS, and this is my first RPG, I have played 2 years on DOD, this summer GW, & in few DOD-S. lol
Those game have not many things in common, but I can GvG a lot in Dod that's what is the fun in dod, competitions (as in Cstrike).
|
Comparing FPS, and GW's is not really a fair comparison IMO. Any FPS I have ever played is fast paced , kill, kill, kill, action, that is simply not Guildwars. Im not at all surprised that your bored, and after only 2 months, that tells me more of your expectations of the game, which it did not, because it could not meet. PvP has similarities to FPS, but it is still a slower paced affair, counterstrike has been going for years, and has a MASSIVE playerbase, GW essentially just came out(in comparison to CS).
So my advice is the same as some others have suggested, take a break.

There are slower paced FPS, see any of the tom clancey games for an example.

I have to admit, I was extermely bored with guild wars, after I beat it. So I put it away then came back to it it is really fun again. BTW It is not a sad game if you need to put it away, as there is no game you can keep playing, and playing, and playing.

Games get boring for abit, every game does it. Its not sad, its common.
Forgive me oh Gods of Gaming for saying this, but even Elder Scrolls 3 Marrowwind got boring for a while. ACK!!!! I'M UNCLEAN!!!!! (Of course, for you heritics that don't know, Elder Scrolls is considered top 5 best RPG's ever, and my personal #1)
But its just a phase, mine came for GW about 4 months ago, not I am stronger than ever, though not too strong since I'm in college.
